If it were placed too high, in the
middle of the head, rotating it would deform the head in an uncomfortable way, to
say the least; placed too low, it would cause the character to wring her own neck.
The small circles around the ends of the Skelegons are their control handles.
If you are in Draw Skelegons mode (which you activate by clicking the Create
Skelegons button), clicking outside one of those circles draws a Skelegon between
the clicked location and the last handle you made to the one before it. You can
adjust a Skelegon in Draw Skelegon mode by clicking within its handle.
Note
Note
For a full-body character with full weight maps, it??™s always good to take advantage of
the automatic weight map.The reason is that you??™ll save time selecting and assigning
individual bones in Layout for the full character. With the auto weight map feature,
once your Skelegons are active, your weight maps will already be applied.
With the Numeric panel open (press n), you can set a name for the Skelegon and
create a weight map assignment all at once using the auto weight map feature. In
order to do this, you must draw your Skelegons in the same layer as the geometry
the Skelegon-based bones will control.
