You might
also know that LightWave has allowed you to add multiple cameras for a few years. Simply
put, LightWave allows you to add more than one camera to a scene, sort of like multiple
cameras on a photo or video shoot. You??™ve probably mastered this aspect of LightWave.
Sure enough, the programmers and NewTek wanted to keep you on your toes, but also
wanted to make LightWave v9 more functional. As such, LightWave v9 introduces a new
set of cameras that can take your renders further than any previous version of the software.
These new camera types were briefly introduced in Chapter 5, ???3D Cameras.??? This
section of the book will show you how to set some of them up.
Classic Camera
The Classic Camera, as mentioned in Chapter 5, has been demonstrated throughout this
book. It??™s the default LightWave camera and primarily used for most projects. Use the
Classic Camera if you want to render any points or lines in your scene. The reason the
Classic Camera is used most often is because it allows you to set a focal length and desired
resolution. It??™s the camera that??™s always been in LightWave since version 1.0.
