Perspective Camera
The Perspective Camera renders like the Classic Camera, but with a few differences. The
Perspective Camera renders the scene from top to bottom. In many cases, more complex
scenes will render faster. However, the Perspective Camera will not render points and lines.

Chapter 15 Advanced Cameras and Rendering 595
So if you??™re setting up particles, you??™d want to render with a Classic Camera, not a Perspective
Camera. The new LightWave v9 Perspective Camera is a two-point camera that is most useful
for architectural renders, allowing the viewer to see more of the model with less distortion.
Advanced Camera
The Advanced Camera, new to LightWave v9, offers you some really interesting control. It
allows you to re-create lenses and real cameras normally not found in 3D applications.
With the Advanced Camera, you can define objects (mesh items) as cameras. In addition,
you can create spherical cameras with this camera type. This allows you to render an entire
scene in a spherical shape, sort of like a severe fish-eye lens. Effects like this weren??™t possible
in LightWave before version 9.
