Later in this chapter
you??™ll learn about this feature to greatly enhance the look of your renders. Figure 15.7
shows the render with this feature applied.
Inside LightWave v9 598
Chapter 15 Advanced Cameras and Rendering 599
Figure 15.7 The same shot as in Figure 15.6, but with global illumination applied. Global
illumination is a cool render feature in LightWave, which you??™ll learn about
later in the chapter.
8. You can experiment with the other field-of-view settings. Depending on what you
choose, such as Cylindrical, you??™ll be able to set the Vertical FOV as well. For now,
save the scene.
9. Lastly, you can change the Depth Direction for the camera, and which Item this
calculation uses. Experiment by changing the Item to Room_Balls:CenterBall and
see what kind of results you get. At the very bottom of the panel, you can also
apply a colored filter to the Advanced Camera.
The Advanced Camera is quite powerful, and these instructions can help you create
very cool and interesting renders, even with simple objects. You can go one
step further with this project to animate the ball! Roll it across the floor using the
instructions from previous chapters regarding dynamics.
