Or, even just keyframe
the ball, and render out a quick movie of it. You??™ll see that not only are you viewing
the scene from an object??™s point of view, but your camera also takes on the
object??™s motions. Remember, by setting up an Advanced Camera as you??™ve done
here, the object is the camera. Cool stuff!
Note
When using an Advanced Camera, you won??™t see the effects in Layout, but you will
when you render.
Real Lens Camera
The Real Lens Camera makes mimicking any real-world camera quite easy. Figure 15.8
shows Layout with the Camera Properties panel opened and changed to a Real Lens. You
see that another panel is open, and a Nikon SLR D70 camera has been chosen, along with
a 50mm ?’/1.8 Al-S Nikor lens. You??™ll also see that the icon preview for the camera in
Layout changes to a grid. This helps you align your shot based on the real lens setting.
Figure 15.8 The Real Lens Camera offers you the ability to set a number of presets for
point-and-shoot and digital SLR cameras and lenses.
Using a Real Lens Camera is ideal for matching still images or moving video clips that have
been imported into LightWave.
