3. From the Render tab at the top of Layout, click the Render Globals option on the
left of the interface.
4. Set the Resolution to D1 (NTSC) for video resolution.Make sure that the
Resolution Multiplier is set to 100% for actual-size output. You??™ll see the Width
and Height values change when you do so.
5. Click the Segment Memory Limit button and make sure the value is set to 32 or
higher. The 32 represents 32 MB of memory. The Segment value should change
to 1, which means that a rendered frame will be drawn in one pass.
If you are short on system memory, you can use a RAM setting lower than 32 for
rendering. In that case, the Segments value can be greater than 1??”say, 3 or 4.
Your project won't render as quickly, but your scene will still look great.
LightWave now has more memory with which to work and will render your
frames in single segments.
6. When asked if you want Segment Memory Limit value set to the default, click Yes.
LightWave won??™t use this RAM until it needs it, so you can set it higher than the
default 32, perhaps 120. Be careful on how high you set this, though, if you??™re limited
on memory and/or running other programs in the background.
