6. Increase the Luminosity to about
40% for the surface, as shown in

At this point, you need to set up the
lighting so that you can match the
real-world lighting and cast shadows.
7. Select the light in the scene.While
still in Camera view, press y to
rotate the light so that it casts light
onto the vase matching the rest of
the image. Looking from the Camera view, this light??™s position is to the upper left.
Figure 16.26 shows the light from three angles.

visualize its effect on the scene.

8. Be sure to create a keyframe for the light at frame 0 to lock it in place. Then, from
the Render Globals panel under the Render menu tab, turn on Ray Trace
Shadows. Press F9. Figure 16.27 shows the vase on the concrete ground with
shadows now visible.
